Well, not necessarily outdated drivers, but buggy ones. On more mature operating systems, those bugs usually get worked out and fixed over time, so the people running into them usually just need to pick up the latest fixes. On less mature platforms like Windows 8, the issues may not be fixed or discovered by the GPU vendor or OEM yet, but we'd be happy to collect the appropriate information and inform the appropriate party. In the meantime, simply disabling Hardware Acceleration should resolve the issue, but you'll take a hit on performance and battery life until we can take advantage of the purpose-build video decoding and graphics acceleration chips on your computer.
