I certainly hope they implement this feature. I hope everyone here is submitting it as a feature request to Adobe as well and not just talking about it here?
Bear in mind the software is new - development of apps of this type (long-term, service-complimentary rather than a one-off) is incremental in its nature, as Adobe have already shown by releasing new features into LR mobile since release. I'm sure RAW import will come - when you can't release ALL functionality in one go you'll never please everyone. While it is technically possible, the whole app is designed around editing smart previews so it is not a small feature to implement in-app RAW conversion and syncing.
