Re: Is there a way to publish an early childhood learning assessment simply?

I can understand your frustration but you need to remember that just a short time ago there was really NO WAY AT ALL to remotely deliver the kind of training you are now able to deliver via the internet.  So now you can sit in your lounge room creating training materials that could potentially be seen by a child on the other side of the planet as long as they have an internet connection.

That's GOT to be considered wonderful progress!  And I think most parents would be quite happy with such an improvement.

However, being the endlessly dissatisfied human beings that we are, it doesn't take too long before the wonderful things we wished for just a year or two ago become taken for granted shortly after they arrive in our lap.  Then we start concentrating again on what we DON'T yet have.

In your case, you now have the ability with Captivate and other similar tools to create great elearning experiences, but what you lack is a way to capture and aggregate reporting from those internet-enabled kids out there that have started consuming your content.  The system that does this well is called an LMS.  Some of them are very expensive.  But some are also almost free.

For example, you can download and install Moodle for free because it's open-source software.  But don't let that word 'free' fool you, because that means there's also a requirement to support it yourself whenever anything doesn't work.  And you don't sound to me to be the technical type.

Then again you could look at SCORM Cloud online LMS.  For the very few users you seem to have, the price they charge per seat might be well within the wallets of the parents of your kids.  (Most parents will willingly spend a small fortune on anything that means they can give their kids a good education.)  Just ask the parents that WANT this reporting whether they are prepared to chip in some dollars to get it.

I don't think you are REALLY without options here.  But I would again emphasize that as soon as you move from creating standalone learning modules to tracked and reported learning solutions there is an unavoidable hike in technological know-how required in order to pull it off.  I've been at this game over a dozen years, and while some things have gotten easier, most things have also become far more complex...and don't even get me started about the HTML5 'revolution'.
